Snapline · Showreel

25.8s · 1920×1080 · 30fps · 6 scenes

A motion reel for Snapline, a screenshot and screen-recording manager for Windows. The film captures itself: every cut is a screenshot, and each capture is filed, found by its own words, marked up and beautified.

Music and sound effects. No spoken dialogue. On-screen text carries the story.

The study

Show what Snapline does after the shutter. Its violet brand, its real logo and its own capture overlay become the grammar of the film, with one fictional client running through every scene.

process notes

01

The selection is the cut

Every scene ends inside Snapline's own overlay: a scrim, a crosshair with a pixel loupe, a marching-ants selection with a live size chip, then a shutter flash. The captured region becomes the next shot.

02

Real screens, safely

The library is Snapline's own Store screenshot with file paths painted out. Everything else, the Nova Café pages and the editor work, is rebuilt in HTML with fictional demo content so it stays sharp at any size.

03

Seek-safe motion

Each overlay element has one painter that derives its state from time, so the selection, scan line, lens and timer render the same in every frame, on the beat grid of the Snapline trailer music.
