Brand Readiness Check · Brand Readiness Scan

26.0s · 1920×1080 · 30fps · one take

The film for my free Brand Readiness Check. A scanner line sweeps my own business card, raises it into a relief of ridge lines and stops on eight features, one for each question of the check, then shows the four score bands and the check's headline.

An original score composed in code, built from a scanner drone, blips and ticks. No spoken dialogue. On-screen text carries the story.

The study

Show what the check looks at in the time it takes to answer it: eight signals a customer notices on any brand, read off a real card, with the scale and the address at the end.

process notes

01

The check's own questions

Every question under the card is quoted from the Brand Readiness Check, and the four bands are its real scale. The film shows the scale and claims no score for the card.

02

A relief from a height map

The card is drawn once in greys, then every frame redrawn as ridge lines lifted by height, back to front, so it reads as a solid relief behind the scanner.

03

One clock

The scanner, the eight highlights, the list ticks and a score of drones, blips and ticks generated in Python all read the same timing table.
